Letter to the President of the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz,
Dear colleagues,
With greatest astonishment, with deepest concern, even bewilderment, I have taken note of the “7th ad hoc statement” of the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina of 8.12.2020. In my opinion, this paper is not worthy of an honest, critical-balancing science oriented towards the service and welfare of human beings. I do not have medical expertise. However, as a scientist committed to nothing but the pure truth, I take the liberty of speaking out.
I feel very strongly alarmed by several points:
1. on 11/27/2020, a group of 22 internationally renowned experts submitted the following expert opinion on the PCR test, the linchpin of the “pandemic”, for the journal Eurosurveillance:
“External peer review of the RT-PCR test to detect SARS-CoV-2 reveals 10 major scientific flaws at the molecular and methodological level: consequences for false positive results”.
Quote: “This highly questions the scientific validity of the test”. Furthermore, the serious remark: “serious conflicts of interest of the authors are not mentioned” (1).
2. The PCR test is the basis of the justification for declaring a “pandemic”, and RKI, politicians and the media announce the positive test results daily as so-called “new infections”. According to the 22 independent experts, the test contains “several scientific inadequacies, errors and flaws”. It is clearly stated:
“the test (is) unsuitable as a specific diagnostic tool to identify the SARS-CoV-2 virus and make inferences about the presence of an infection”.
Is it not obvious that there is an extremely serious problem here, which should actually shake the whole “pandemic”? I cannot understand why neither the Leopoldina nor other academies include this well-founded expert opinion and demand or initiate a further, thorough and scientifically clean clarification.
3. Based on this “pandemic”, which is based on at least a very questionable test, a worldwide vaccination campaign is now to be started on an unprecedented scale; and this with vaccines that have never been tested before and that have been developed at a
In unprecedented speed.
In light of the first reported serious side effects and after warnings from renowned experts, it is clear that the completely novel RNA vaccines have been far from adequately tested, especially with regard to long-term effects. Why are the academies silent on such existential issues?
4. Problematic aspects of the Leopoldina statement are even named by Die Welt [German Newspaper] in a scathing analysis (2). Quote: “The damage done by the science functionaries is immense.“
Incidentally, there are currently several statements by medical practitioners that are diametrically opposed to the Leopoldina paper. For example, the Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, Prof. Gassen, expects that the hard lockdown now ordered will fail (3). The infectiologist Prof. Schrappe declares the entire lockdown policy a definite failure (4).
I had hoped that the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz, as an important sister organization of the National Academy of Sciences, would make a critical statement on the Leopoldina statement. Regrettably, this has not happened so far. Are not the academies the guardians of pure science and also of the freedom of the sciences ? Aren’t the venerable academies particularly challenged in a scientific landscape that is increasingly characterized by third-party funding and the massive influence of powerful lobby interests (e.g. the pharmaceutical industry)? Is it really the task of an academy such as the Leopoldina to fuel the scaremongering of the media and politics?
5. Where is the broad discourse that used to be customary, with a balanced assessment of the sometimes very contradictory statements by scientists and physicians from various disciplines, lawyers, psychologists, sociologists, economists and philosophers? Why is there no reaction from the academies when, in recent months, the voices of proven experts (often of international standing) who articulate an assessment that deviates from the one-size-fits-all narrative, indeed in some cases diametrically contradicts it, are repeatedly ignored, marginalized, even defamed, censored, and deleted from social media? Why no reaction of the academies, if the right to freedom of science and freedom of expression, which is guaranteed in the Basic Law, as well as other fundamental rights are trampled ? Has Germany learned nothing from history?
After the governments refer to this, from my point of view disastrous paper of the National Academy of Sciences when imposing a renewed “hard lockdown”, as well as because of the points listed above, I have decided, after careful consideration, to take the certainly unusual step of resigning from the Academy of Sciences in Mainz as an expression of my personal protest.
I cannot reconcile it with my conscience to be a part of this kind of science. I want to serve a science that is committed to fact-based honesty, balanced transparency, and comprehensive humanity.

Surat kepada Presiden Akademi Sains dan Sastera di Mainz,
Rakan-rakan yang dihormati,
Dengan rasa kagum, dengan keprihatinan yang mendalam, bahkan membingungkan, saya telah memperhatikan “pernyataan ad hoc ke-7” Akademi Sains Nasional Leopoldina pada 8.12.2020. Pada pendapat saya, makalah ini tidak layak untuk sains yang jujur dan seimbang yang berorientasikan perkhidmatan dan kesejahteraan manusia. Saya tidak mempunyai kepakaran perubatan. Namun, sebagai saintis yang tidak memberikan apa-apa kecuali kebenaran murni, saya bebas untuk berbicara.
Saya berasa sangat risau dengan beberapa perkara:
1. pada 11/27/2020, sekumpulan 22 pakar terkenal di dunia mengemukakan pendapat pakar berikut mengenai ujian PCR, penanda “pandemi”, untuk jurnal Eurosurveillance:
“Tinjauan rakan sebaya luaran dari ujian RT-PCR untuk mengesan SARS-CoV-2 mendedahkan 10 kelemahan saintifik utama pada tahap molekul dan metodologi: akibat untuk hasil positif palsu”.
Petikan: “Ini sangat mempersoalkan kesahan saintifik ujian”. Selanjutnya, pernyataan serius: “konflik kepentingan penulis yang tidak disebutkan” (1).
2. Ujian PCR adalah dasar pembenaran untuk menyatakan “pandemi”, dan RKI, politisi dan media mengumumkan hasil ujian positif setiap hari sebagai apa yang disebut “jangkitan baru”. Menurut 22 pakar bebas, ujian ini mengandungi “beberapa kekurangan, kesalahan dan kekurangan saintifik”. Ia dinyatakan dengan jelas:
“Ujian (tidak) sesuai sebagai alat diagnostik khusus untuk mengenal pasti virus SARS-CoV-2 dan membuat kesimpulan mengenai adanya jangkitan”.
Bukankah jelas bahawa ada masalah yang sangat serius di sini, yang sebenarnya harus menggegarkan keseluruhan “pandemi”? Saya tidak dapat mengerti mengapa Leopoldina dan akademi lain tidak termasuk pendapat dan permintaan pakar yang mantap ini atau memulakan penjelasan yang lebih mendalam, teliti dan ilmiah.
3. Berdasarkan “pandemi” ini, yang didasarkan pada setidaknya tes yang sangat dipersoalkan, kempen vaksinasi di seluruh dunia sekarang akan dimulai pada skala yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya; dan ini dengan vaksin yang belum pernah diuji sebelumnya dan yang telah dikembangkan di a
Dalam kepantasan yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya.
Mengingat kesan sampingan serius yang pertama kali dilaporkan dan setelah mendapat amaran dari pakar terkenal, jelas bahawa vaksin RNA yang baru benar-benar jauh dari ujian yang mencukupi, terutama berkenaan dengan kesan jangka panjang. Mengapa akademi membisu mengenai masalah eksistensial seperti itu?
4. Aspek bermasalah dari pernyataan Leopoldina bahkan dinamakan oleh Die Welt [Surat khabar Jerman] dalam analisis scathing (2). Petikan: “Kerosakan yang dilakukan oleh pegawai sains sangat besar.”
Secara kebetulan, pada masa ini terdapat beberapa pernyataan oleh pengamal perubatan yang bertentangan dengan kertas Leopoldina. Sebagai contoh, Pengerusi Lembaga Persatuan Perubatan Insurans Kesihatan Berkanun Nasional, Prof Gassen, menjangkakan bahawa penukaran kunci yang dipesan sekarang akan gagal (3). Pakar infektiologi, Prof Schrappe, menyatakan bahawa keseluruhan dasar penguncian adalah kegagalan yang pasti (4).
Saya berharap bahawa Akademi Sains dan Sastera di Mainz, sebagai organisasi penting dari Akademi Sains Nasional, akan membuat pernyataan kritis terhadap pernyataan Leopoldina. Malangnya, perkara ini tidak berlaku setakat ini. Bukankah akademi adalah penjaga sains murni dan juga kebebasan sains? Bukankah akademi yang terhormat sangat dicabar dalam landskap ilmiah yang semakin dicirikan oleh pembiayaan pihak ketiga dan pengaruh besar kepentingan lobi yang kuat (mis. Industri farmaseutikal)? Apakah benar-benar tugas sebuah akademi seperti Leopoldina untuk memicu masalah media dan politik?
5. Di manakah wacana luas yang biasa dilakukan, dengan penilaian yang seimbang terhadap pernyataan yang kadang-kadang sangat bertentangan oleh saintis dan doktor dari pelbagai disiplin ilmu, peguam, psikologi, sosiolog, ahli ekonomi dan ahli falsafah? Mengapa tidak ada reaksi dari akademi ketika, dalam beberapa bulan kebelakangan ini, suara-suara pakar yang terbukti (sering bertaraf antarabangsa) yang mengartikulasikan penilaian yang menyimpang dari naratif satu-ukuran-sesuai, sesungguhnya dalam beberapa kes bertentangan secara diametris, berulang kali diabaikan, dipinggirkan, bahkan difitnah, ditapis, dan dihapuskan dari media sosial? Mengapa tidak ada reaksi dari akademi, jika hak kebebasan sains dan kebebasan berekspresi, yang dijamin dalam Undang-Undang Dasar, dan juga hak-hak asasi lain diinjak-injak? Adakah Jerman tidak belajar apa-apa dari sejarah?
Setelah pemerintah merujuk kepada perkara ini, dari sudut pandang saya, kertas Akademi Sains Nasional yang memalukan ketika mengenakan “penguncian keras” yang diperbaharui, dan juga kerana perkara-perkara yang disenaraikan di atas, saya memutuskan, setelah mempertimbangkan dengan teliti, untuk mengambil langkah yang sangat luar biasa untuk mengundurkan diri dari Akademi Sains di Mainz sebagai ungkapan protes peribadi saya.
Saya tidak dapat mendamaikannya dengan hati nurani saya untuk menjadi sebahagian daripada sains seperti ini. Saya ingin melayani sains yang komited untuk kejujuran berdasarkan fakta, ketelusan seimbang, dan kemanusiaan yang komprehensif.
