Left side says, ‘Mohammedan Meat House’ means Halal and right side says, ‘Hindoo Meat House’ means non-halal mostly for Sikh soldiers.
It was reminded about the difference between Islamic Banking and Conventional Banking where everything looks the same but it’s the underlying process that makes the outcome Halal or Haraam.
